In our role as building design consultants we can offer consultancy services to assist in complying with current planning legislation.

Development and design briefs

On larger projects, current requirements may require a travel plan to be developed by the client to assess best practice in defining travel requirements throughout the workforce; from utilising company cars and bus travel through to cycling and walking. We can ensure travel plans are submitted to local planning authorities in a manner compliant with their outline requirements.

Appeals against refusals or planning consent
Sensitive planning submissions may require extensive lobbying of local councillors and other interested parties. We can attend and speak at local authority planning meetings prior to planning committee decisions being made.

Public consultation and involvement
On occasions when planning consent is not approved, we can advise clients to adjust applications or undertake appeals against the planning committees’ decision. On the latter occasions, we work with Independent appeals advisors to re-evaluate schemes and then if deemed appropriate, prepare a suitable appeal.
